Eureka Equity Partners Announces Acquisition of Jansy Packaging and New Addition to Team

Eureka Equity Partners (“Eureka”) today announced its partnership with operating management in the recapitalization of Jansy Packaging, LLC (“Jansy”), a provider of value-added specialty packaging solutions for branded consumer products companies across a number of consumer categories. Members of Jansy’s senior management invested alongside Eureka in the recapitalization and will maintain a significant equity interest in the company.

Headquartered in Congers, NY, Jansy offers a turnkey consumer packaging platform that combines design and engineering services with full-scale outsourced production capabilities. Jansy’s full-service approach provides a compelling one-stop value proposition to its customers, bridging the divide between marketing and procurement, and saving its customers significant time and capital resources.

“Brad Zaikov and his team are an ideal fit with our investment approach, having grown Jansy significantly over the last several years while recognizing the benefit of bringing in the right partner to expedite their growth,” stated Chris Miller, a Partner with Eureka who, along with Eureka Partner Jonathan Zimbalist, joined the Board of Jansy at the close of the transaction. “Consumer brand owners understand that up to 85% of consumer purchase decisions are made at the point of sale, making package design critical to product differentiation efforts. Jansy has provided its brand-owner customers with a single solution to ensure that every stage of the packaging process, from design and engineering to production and distribution, is handled efficiently and cost-effectively. We are very excited to partner with Brad and his outstanding team and look forward to working with the Jansy team to expand their market presence and continue their impressive growth.”

“This is an exciting time for Jansy and I am thrilled to be embarking on this next stage of our growth with Eureka,” said Brad Zaikov, CEO of Jansy. “During the due diligence process, Eureka was very focused on collaborating and identifying ways to positively impact our business so we hit the ground running following the transaction. I look forward to working closely with the Eureka team as we build on our historical success.”

M&T Bank provided debt facilities to support the acquisition.

Eureka also announced that Travis C. Foltz joined the Eureka team as an Associate in October 2014. Prior to joining Eureka, Travis was a Senior Associate with Saw Mill Capital, LLC, where he evaluated new investment opportunities and led third-party due diligence providers and managed lending relationships throughout the transaction process. Prior to Saw Mill Capital, Travis was an Analyst in the Financial Sponsors Group of Janney Montgomery Scott, LLC, working closely with private equity clients and other business owners as exclusive sell-side advisor. Travis received a BS in Finance from The Pennsylvania State University where he was Team Captain of the NCAA Division I National Champion Men’s Volleyball team.

“We are excited to welcome Travis to the Eureka team,” said Chris Hanssens, Managing Partner of Eureka. “Travis has very relevant experience and demonstrated a good understanding of the characteristics and approach that are critical to the success of our investment strategy. We look forward to what we know will be meaningful contributions to our efforts to drive strong partnerships with our management team partners and superior returns for our investors.”
